[ P e r s o n a l i t y ]:

Richard is a gentle and friendly type of person. Always open to others and loves to be a mysterious and mischievous character at times when he does the magic tricks he's worked so hard to master. He does sometimes have a short temper to people that do harm or try to hurt Annika or mostly others. He's always open to learning new things, and knowing new ideas and concepts from others. He may look always distracted from everything, but he's a very watchful and observant person. His kindness to most people is what makes him a very naive yet sometimes mature child.

[ F a m i l y B a c k g r o u n d / H i s t o r y ]:

Richard was born into a a single parent family in a richer side of America. His father was the only hero figure he has in his life, being a well known magician, is what fueled their finances. His father and the boy would never be at home. In fact, he didn't grow up at home. He grew up with his father, who was always going around the world on tours. Of course, he didn't just go on with his dad all the time. His father had a bodyguard that knew how to fight, and taught him how to. This man became his second role model in his life.

As time went on, he enjoyed magic, trying to imitate how his dad did tricks. His father, of course was touched by the love of his son, but was losing his love for his own fame and love for magic performance. One day, his father decided to just leave the fame and fortune. He had planned it all with his bodyguard, and with Richard not knowing a single thing. On a performance in Italy, which was the last he'd ever see of his father, he dazzled everyone, and said his last words. " Tonight is a special night, the time when you finally see me disappear!", and with that, the lights blacked out, smoke emitting from the stage, and in a few seconds, he was gone.

Of course, being a nine ( 9 ) year old, he'd just think it was a show to put on. When he went backstage, he wasn't there. He went to the dressing room. He wasn't there. He even checked if his father was in the males comfort room, and he still wasn't there. The poor child was scared. His father did disappear, and had left him alone. But hope wasn't lost. His father is very much alive. That's what the bodyguard explained at least. This man, that had agreed with this old friend, Rich's father, took the boy in as his son and taught him on how to be a real bodyguard or caretaker for someone. By the time he was eleven ( 11 ), his new step-in father told him that he should learn how to protect someone. Not because it was it was his job, but because that person is special to you. Of course, he didn't fully understand at first, but he was an orient child.

Later that same year, the bodyguard finally thought it was the perfect time to give him something. He gave Richard a book. It was his father's book of magic tricks. Richard still have that passion to do magic. Obviously, since he'd try to entertain his step father from time to time. He was excited, yet a bit saddened at first. It was his father's book. The one that left him without a word. When he did open the book though, there was a special message for him. Telling him how much his father loved him, and can't wait to see him again when he's a grown man when he comes out of hiding from the world. This made Richard want to master his father's tricks and illusions as he grew up.

Now, at the age of 17, the bodyguard decided to put him in a school where he could practice what he has learned about really ' taking care of someone ', and that was in Brent Academy. Taken in as a butler, he was deemed to be paired up with Annika Vian, and try to do his best for her when he should.

He has a pet dove named Snowy.

His father's name was Albert McKenzie and his Stepfather's name was Hugh Rogers.

He practices his tricks almost daily.

He knows muay thai and kickboxing, and actually does work out. Which barely happens.

He's other hobby is playing the guitar in his spare time.

His mother ( deceased ) was Greek, and his father was American, and they originally lived in Las Vegas, Nevada before going around the world. He ended up back in Nevada when he lived with his stepfather. So, he's been influenced by all the vices of Sin City.

He does play card games like Poker , Blackjack, and knows how to gamble. He actually gambles occassionally, and usually the odds are in his favor.

He does drink, but only when he's very depressed or if it's occassional.

He's prone to cancer, and is likely to have it if he continues on with his ways of eating and drinking.
